Ordering & Availability

We recommend submitting your inquiry as early as possible, especially for weekends and larger celebrations, as availability can fill quickly. Celebration cakes require a minimum of 2 weeks' notice, while weddings, corporate orders, and larger events require a minimum of 3 weeks' notice. Earlier inquiries are always encouraged and provide more flexibility for availability and design.

No. Submitting an inquiry does not reserve your event date. Your order and date are confirmed only after bakedbyAma has approved your request and the required 60% retainer has been received.

Rush orders may be accepted depending on availability, design complexity, ingredients, and production capacity. Orders requested within 72 hours of the event date are considered rush orders and are subject to a 25% rush fee, with a minimum rush fee of $30. Acceptance of a rush order is not guaranteed.

We'll review your request and contact you with availability, pricing, and next steps. Submitting an inquiry does not confirm your order or reserve your date.
Pricing & Payment

Signature Collection cakes currently start at $75, while Premium Collection cakes start at $95 for a standard 6-inch, two-layer cake. Final pricing depends on cake size, flavor, fillings, design complexity, decorative elements, and other customizations. A personalized quote will be provided after your inquiry has been reviewed.

A 60% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your order and event date. Your date is not reserved until your order has been approved and the required retainer has been received. The remaining balance is due 2 days before your event date. Please refer to our Order Policies for complete payment terms.

Once your order is approved, payment instructions will be provided with your invoice. Payments are securely processed through Square, and available payment methods will be displayed on your invoice.
Pickup & Delivery

Yes. Delivery may be available depending on the location, event date, and order requirements. Delivery availability and applicable fees will be confirmed with your quote.

Pickup is available in the Wheaton/Silver Spring, Maryland area. The exact pickup location and pickup instructions will be provided after your order has been confirmed.

Please arrive at your scheduled pickup time. If you expect to be late, contact bakedbyAma as soon as possible. Late pickups are subject to availability and may need to be rescheduled to another available pickup time. Orders not collected within the agreed pickup window, and for which no alternative arrangements have been approved, may be considered abandoned. Payments made toward abandoned orders are non-refundable.
Allergies & Dietary Requirements
Please disclose any allergies or dietary requirements when submitting your inquiry. bakedbyAma operates from a home kitchen where common allergens are handled, including wheat, eggs, milk, soy, peanuts, and tree nuts. While reasonable care is taken when preparing orders, cross-contact may occur, and bakedbyAma cannot guarantee an allergen-free product or environment.
Change & Cancellations
Changes, cancellations, postponements, and rescheduling are subject to bakedbyAma's Order Policies. Eligibility for rescheduling or dessert credit depends on the type of order and how much notice is provided before the scheduled event date. Certain payments, rush fees, custom materials, personalized items, and other order-specific expenses may be non-refundable.
