ORDER POLICIES
1. ORDERING & AVAILABILITY
All orders are subject to bakedbyAma’s availability and production capacity. For adequate preparation time, we recommend submitting inquiries at least:
2 weeks in advance for birthdays, anniversaries, showers, graduations, and other celebration cakes.
3 weeks in advance for weddings, corporate orders, larger events, tiered cakes, and more complex orders.
These lead times do not guarantee availability. Earlier inquiries are encouraged, particularly for weekends, holidays, weddings, and larger events.
Submitting an inquiry, receiving a quote, receiving an invoice does not reserve your event date.
Your order and event date are secured only after bakedbyAma has accepted the order and the required 60% retainer has been received.
At bakedbyAma, every order is thoughtfully prepared specifically for your celebration. These policies are designed to provide a clear and seamless ordering experience while allowing us the time and care necessary to create your order.
Please review the following policies before submitting an order. By confirming an order and submitting the required payment, you acknowledge and agree to the policies below.
2. QUOTES & PRICING
Prices displayed on the bakedbyAma website are starting prices unless otherwise stated.
Final pricing is determined by factors including:
Cake size and number of servings
Flavour and filling selections
Number of tiers or layers
Design complexity
Decorative elements
Specialty or custom materials
Delivery requirements
Other requested customizations
Quotes are based on the information provided at the time of inquiry.
If the customer requests changes to size, flavour, design, decorations, delivery, or other specifications after receiving a quote, the final price may change accordingly.
3. RETAINER & PAYMENT
A 60% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your order and event date.
The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 2 calendar days before the schedule event date.
Orders are not considered fully paid until all outstanding balances have been received.
Failure to submit the remaining balance by the payment deadline may result in suspension or cancellation of the order. Payments previously made may be forfeited in accordance with these policies.
The retainer is non-refundable to the original payment method. However, qualifying cancellations, postponements, or rescheduling requests may be eligible for dessert credit as outlined below.
4. CHANGES TO AN ORDER
We understand that celebration details may change.
Requests to modify an existing order are subject to bakedbyAma's approval, availability, and production schedule.
Changes to cake size, servings, flavors, fillings, colors, designs, decorative elements, pickup, delivery, or other order specifications may result in additional charges.
Once ingredients, custom decorations, toppers, specialty materials, or other order-specific items have been purchased or prepared, certain changes may no longer be possible.
Significant last-minute changes may be declined at bakedbyAma's discretion.
5. CANCELLATIONS
Because each order reserves production time and may require advance purchasing and preparation, all payments are non-refundable to the original payment method.
However, depending on the amount of notice provided, some payments may qualify for bakedbyAma dessert credit.
Celebration Orders
For birthdays, anniversaries, showers, graduations, and similar celebration orders:
14 or more days before the event:
100% of eligible payments made may be converted to dessert credit.
7–13 days before the event:

Less than 7 days before the event:
Payments are non-refundable and no dessert credit will be issued.
Weddings, Corporate Orders & Larger Events
21 or more days before the event:
100% of eligible payments made may be converted to dessert credit.
14–20 days before the event:
50% of eligible payments made may be converted to dessert credit.
Less than 14 days before the event:
Payments are non-refundable and no dessert credit will be issued.
Amounts already spent on custom materials, personalized toppers, specialty decorations, non-refundable supplies, rush fees, or other order-specific expenses are not eligible for dessert credit.
6. POSTPONEMENTS & RESCHEDULING
For purposes of these policies:
Postponement means delaying an event when a new date has not yet been determined.
Rescheduling means changing an order to a specific new event date.
A customer may request to transfer payments to one new event date, subject to bakedbyAma's availability, when at least:
7 days' notice is provided for celebration orders.
14 days' notice is provided for weddings, corporate orders, and larger events.
Approval of a new date is not guaranteed and depends on bakedbyAma's existing production schedule.
If bakedbyAma is unavailable for the requested new date, the applicable cancellation and dessert-credit provisions will apply.
A second rescheduling request will be treated according to the applicable cancellation and dessert-credit policy.
Rescheduled orders are subject to current bakedbyAma pricing. Existing eligible payments will be applied toward the new order, and the customer is responsible for any difference in price.
7. DESSERT CREDIT
Qualifying cancellations, postponements, and rescheduling requests may receive dessert credit in accordance with the policies above.
Dessert credits:
Are valid for 12 months from the original event date
May be applied toward eligible future bakedbyAma orders
Are subject to bakedbyAma's availability
Are non-refundable
Are non-transferable
Have no cash value
Cannot be exchanged for cash
Are applied toward current menu and custom-order pricing
If a new order exceeds the available dessert credit, the customer is responsible for the remaining balance.
If an eligible order uses less than the available dessert credit, the remaining balance may continue to be used until the original credit expiration date.
Expired dessert credits cannot be reinstated or redeemed.
8. RUSH ORDERS
Orders requested within 72 hours of the scheduled pickup or delivery date are considered rush orders and are subject to availability.
Accepted rush orders are subject to a 25% rush fee, with a minimum charge of $30.
Rush fees are non-refundable once the order has been confirmed.
Acceptance of a rush order is at bakedbyAma's discretion and may depend on:
Design complexity
Ingredient availability
Decorative or specialty-material availability
Existing orders
Production capacity
Submitting a rush inquiry does not guarantee acceptance.
9. PICKUP
Pickup is available at the location and during the pickup window provided with your confirmed order.
Customers are responsible for arriving within their scheduled pickup window. If you anticipate being late, please contact bakedbyAma as soon as possible.
If another person will be collecting your order on your behalf, bakedbyAma should be notified in advance when possible.
Once an order has been collected and accepted by the customer or the customer's authorized representative, responsibility for safe transportation, handling, storage, and setup transfers to the customer.
Exact pickup information is provided privately with confirmed orders.
10. DELIVERY
Delivery may be available depending on the order, location, event date, and bakedbyAma's availability.
Applicable delivery fees will be communicated before the order is confirmed.
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information and ensuring that someone is available to receive the order at the agreed time.
Delays caused by incorrect addresses, inaccessible venues, unavailable recipients, venue restrictions, or circumstances outside bakedbyAma's reasonable control may result in additional fees or unsuccessful delivery.
Delivery availability is not guaranteed until confirmed by bakedbyAma.
11. CAKE TRANSPORT, STORAGE & HANDLING
Cakes are delicate and should be handled carefully.
When transporting a cake, customers should:
Place the cake on a clean, flat, stable surface inside the vehicle.
Keep the vehicle cool and air-conditioned when necessary.
Avoid placing the cake on a seat, lap, or other uneven surface.
Keep the cake away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
Drive carefully and avoid sudden stops or sharp turns.
Follow any refrigeration, storage, or serving instructions provided by bakedbyAma.
Once an order has been picked up, delivered, or otherwise transferred to the customer or their representative, bakedbyAma is not responsible for damage resulting from improper transportation, storage, handling, weather exposure, venue conditions, or failure to follow provided instructions.
12. DESIGN & INSPIRATION IMAGES
Customers are welcome to provide inspiration images to communicate preferred colors, themes, styles, and design direction.
Inspiration images are used as creative references and do not guarantee an exact replica of another cake artist's work.
Every bakedbyAma cake is individually handcrafted. Minor variations in color, placement, texture, decoration, and other artistic details are natural and may occur.
bakedbyAma reserves reasonable artistic discretion when necessary to maintain the structural integrity, quality, and overall appearance of the finished cake while remaining consistent with the agreed design direction.
13. COLORS & DECORATIVE ELEMENTS
We make every reasonable effort to match requested colors and design details. However, exact color matches cannot always be guaranteed due to differences in food coloring, ingredients, lighting, photographs, screens, and other factors.
Some decorative elements may contain non-edible components necessary for structure or presentation. Customers will be informed when appropriate and are responsible for removing non-edible decorations before serving.
14. ALLERGIES & DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Customers are responsible for informing bakedbyAma of any known food allergies or dietary requirements before the order is confirmed.
bakedbyAma operates from a home kitchen where common allergens may be present or handled, including wheat, milk, eggs, soy. peanuts, and tree nuts.
Our products are prepared in a home kitchen that is not subject to routine inspection by a local health department. We maintain a clean and sanitary workspace and follow appropriate food-handling practices to help minimize the risk of contamination and allergen cross-contact.
Although reasonable care is taken when preparing each order, bakedbyAma cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment or guarantee that cross-contact will not occur.
Customers with severe or life-threatening allergens should carefully consider this information before placing an order.
15. REFUNDS & QUALITY CONCERNS
Due to the custom and perishable nature of bakedbyAma products, completed orders are generally not eligible for returns or refunds based solely on personal taste preferences, minor design variations, or circumstances occurring after responsibility for the order has transferred to the customer.
If you believe there is a significant issue with your order that is attributable to bakedbyAma, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide photographs and relevant details so the concern can be reviewed.
Any remedy offered following review will be determined based on the circumstances of the individual order.
16. AGREEMENT TO ORDER POLICIES
By paying the required retainer or otherwise confirming an order with bakedbyAma, the customer acknowledges that they have reviewed, understood, and agreed to these Order Policies and any applicable Terms of Service.
These policies may be updated periodically. The policies applicable to an order are those provided or made available to the customer when the order is confirmed.
